At the beach at Huk, Bygdøy
After ten years of running across Rådhusplassen to reach the finish line at Vippetangen, Oslo Municipality and the Urban Environment Agency have finally given permission for the finish line at Huk!
This means that the last five kilometers will be on the rural peninsula of Bygdøy, where the finish line will be located at the beach at Huk.
Huk is a beautiful park area with a beach, pier, diving tower, outdoor shower, toilets, water bollards, large grass areas and barbecues.
And eventually also the reopening of the legendary Strandrestauranten! It is finally undergoing renovation under the auspices of Ebygg and will open either in 2026 or 2027.
(If they are not finished by May 30, 2026, it is possible that there will be a large work camp near the finish line this year.)
At the finish line is also the cafe Paa Huk, which sells good coffee, ice cream, lunch and pastries.
Luggage drop-off (participants deliver a small bag at the start that we transport to the finish line) will be located at the parking lot.
There are also bus services to the city center (10-20 minutes travel time) and city bikes.
There will eventually be an area map that will show where the participants will arrive at the finish line, baggage area, drinks/food, and the prize area.
- and where the audience will be restricted a few meters before the finish line for safety reasons.
Otherwise, the park will of course be open to everyone - and both participants and organizers must show consideration for normal traffic and use of the area.
We hope that participants who live in Oslo will bring friends and family to cheer them on - and maybe they will bring a cooler bag too?
At Huk, it's time for a picnic! :-)
